Local Spotlight: Families4Families DMV
This week we’re pleased to highlight an organization called Families4Families in our Local Spotlight column! Founded by the Marshall family of Chevy Chase this past May, Families4Families helps individuals and groups provide essential groceries and food products to DC area families in crisis. (Read more in The Washington Post, here).
Getting involved is simple (you can sign-up with a few clicks online) and all you need is a car and a budget to help out! Families4Families provides you with a grocery list of 20 household staples like fresh fruit, bread, and milk…and you drop-off purchased grocery items at one of seven convenient access points across the city.
Families4Families distributes groceries to families that would otherwise rely on a food bank for meals or suffer from hunger…and your donation provides breakfasts, lunches, and dinners to one family for a full week.
We’re proud to participate with this group, and even more proud that they’ve been able to provide more than 65,000 meals to families all over the US!
