It’s our fortieth issue of The Wrap and we’re thrilled to write to you with a major announcement this week! Our Secretly Gifting face masks are in production, and we’re now taking orders for these fabulous and essential accessories!

To sweeten the deal, we’re launching our masks with a “buy one, give one” initiative, meaning that for each mask you purchase, we’ll donate one to someone in need. Know of a cause, organization, or group in need of face masks? We’d love your suggestions! We have a few ideas in mind, but we'll (hopefully) have dozens of masks to donate…so email us with your ideas for recipients!

We’re also launching our Secretly Gifting cloth face masks with a matching padded headband option, so that you can make the ultimate fashion statement! Masks and headbands can be purchased individually (perfect for mixing and matching!) or as a set, and you’ll find photos of our launch patterns below. Partnering with Corrado NYC has been a dream collaboration, and we couldn’t be more proud to finally share the fruits of our labor! Our cloth face masks (adorned with darling eyelet detailing and ruffle trim!) are made of Corrado NYC’s signature “luxury upcycled” fabrics, meaning they’re sustainably made in addition to being lightweight, ultra-comfortable, soft and breathable.

Our launch collection includes two mask styles (pictured above above) and three coordinating headband options (pictured below). And Corrado's special process of hand dipping and dying ensures that each piece is distinctively designed and totally unique!

Earlier this month, Arienne Thompson, a DC journalist and lecturer started @BetOnBlackOwned to elevate black entrepreneurs, and showcase a growing collection of her favorite wares made by black designers. We’ve chosen to highlight Arienne and “Bet on Black-Owned” in this week’s Local Spotlight column because it’s a wonderfully helpful resource that we’re personally using to expand our network of BIPOC vendor partners.

From fashion brands and cosmetics lines, to purveyors of fine kitchenware and décor companies, @BetOnBlackOwned provides an expertly curated assortment of up and coming labels and independent black designers. Buying from these brands, partnering with them, and supporting their work is one of the ways we’ve professionally committed to advocating for equality and justice.

We encourage you to explore the @BetOnBlackOwned social media directory as a way to discover new brands, designers, and artists…and consider the channels of activism (petition signing, peaceful protest guides, text and call lines, etc.) highlighted on the BOBO resource site in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
