Issue 42: August 11, 2020

Hello Dears,

We'd like to begin this issue by extending a hearty "thank you" to everyone who has supported our "buy one, give one" mask launch over the last two weeks! We've sold more masks and headband sets than we could have imagined (our rainbow eyelet design is the reigning customer favorite) and Corrado NYC is working around the clock to get these beauties in your hands ASAP!

We're likewise preparing to donate several dozen masks to DC's own N Street Village later this month, and we're highlighting this incredible organization's core mission in today's newsletter issue. Anyone wondering how donated masks will be distributed or who will receive them should continue reading below for the full scoop. We're incredibly proud of this initiative and we wholeheartedly encourage you to help "spread the good vibes" by snagging a mask or mask + headband set while orders are still open!

This week's issue also includes a "Back to School" gift guide bursting with thoughtful, practical solutions for any student or teacher hitting the books after Labor Day. Whether online, in person, or at home these unique pieces are guaranteed to make this year's "back to school" season a little bit more special. And to sweeten the deal, we're knocking 10% off the price of all gift guide items this week only....so be sure to continue reading below for your exclusive discount code.

"Back to School" season signals the official arrival of fall, and we're thrilled to announce that we're already designing autumnal mask patterns, which we hope to bring you in mid to late September! These practical and fashion forward face coverings will feature all of the thoughtful details you appreciate (contoured shape, flexible nose piece, soft elastic) accented by cozy fabrics and seasonal prints. Keep your eyes peeled for more details in the coming weeks!

Finally, we'd like to highlight our brand new men's mask chain design this week! Below you'll find photos and details of available designs as well as options for customization with a name, nickname, or fun phrase. Since our mask chains have become an incredibly practical "must have" for women and kids, it was high time for a chic and understated men's version of this utilitarian accessory!

As always, we welcome your thoughts, ideas and feedback anytime at: info@secretlygifting.com...and we wish you refreshing and inspired week ahead!

Local Spotlight: N Street Village

We first highlighted N Street Village in one of our June "local spotlight" columns, and our admiration for this women-led and women-run organization has only multiplied since then. This is one of the reasons we've selected N Street Village as the first donation recipient benefitting from our "buy one, give one" face mask initiative...and in today's issue, we're pulling back the curtain on all of the essential work this organization handles.

N Street Village is committed to the empowerment and recovery of women in crisis; women experiencing chronic homelessness, joblessness, hunger, addiction, and mental/physical illness.

Each year, the Village provides housing, recovery services, healthcare, meals, and a variety of social services for more than 2,000 DC-area women.

In partnership with Secretly Gifting, N Street Village has arranged to distribute donated masks to women currently residing in five of it's city-wide housing programs. While these 400+ women receive essential health and hygiene products, it's a small luxury to receive one of our colorful, fashion-forward Secretly Gifting face masks. We're touched to help bring a smile to these womens' faces, and humbled by the opportunity to partner with such a meaningful organization.

We love how many different opportunities there are to volunteer individually or as a group, whether you're looking to donate your time, pledge cash, or provide essential food products and groceries. Food & Friends has enacted a variety of COVID-19 safety precautions as well, so volunteers can participate using contact-less methods and sign-up couldn't be easier with their new VolunteerHub page.
